Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a talented Senior Bridge Inspector to support our Bridges & Structures team in Birmingham.
This role involves a blend of remote, office, and field work, performing hands‑on inspection of bridge structures throughout the United Kingdom.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct thorough inspections of bridge structures across the UK.
- Prepare drawings, risk assessments, and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with the Bridges & Structures team on a variety of projects.
- Adopt a ‘right‑first‑time’ quality approach to all tasks.
- Maintain a minimum of 2 days per week in the Birmingham office.
Qualifications
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Lantra BICS accreditation – beneficial
- Confined Space Training – beneficial
- Commitment to working a minimum of 2 days per week in our Birmingham office.
- Strong technical skills in bridge engineering and a keen commitment to quality with a ‘right first time’ approach.
- Experience in the production of drawings, risk assessments and reporting.
