Our client is a design-led studio with a strong presence in the Middle East, recognised for delivering impactful, high-end luxury developments across residential, hospitality, commercial, and retail sectors. To support the continued growth and quality of their work, they are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Standards Implementation
    • Lead the adoption of Revit/BIM across the practice.
    • Develop and implement a structured BIM rollout, including resourcing, training, workflows, and deployment.
    • Evaluate, report, and monitor BIM goals, KPIs, and workload against deliverables.
    • Provide regular progress updates on BIM implementation to partners, including recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Standards Development Enforcement
    • Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM standards, procedures, and documentation in line with ISO/BS conventions and industry best practices.
    • Manage and update Revit templates and sector-specific content libraries.
    • Oversee the creation, integration, and standardisation of Revit families to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency.
    • Ensure drawing outputs meet graphic standards and documentation protocols.
    • Champion consistency of digital outputs across all projects, aligning with wider design standards.
  • Project Support Coordination
    • Support teams in the preparation and maintenance of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in response to client EIRs.
    • Coordinate project-specific Revit model setups and family creation processes.
    • Provide guidance in resolving BIM design and coordination issues.
    • Facilitate collaboration between disciplines by federating multi-disciplinary models and supporting clash detection workflows.
    • Monitor compliance with BIM standards and issue resolution using logs and reporting tools.
    • Act as escalation point for complex coordination issues, supporting senior project staff.
  • Training Development
    • Identify training needs and lead Revit/BIM training sessions from fundamental to advanced levels.
    • Deliver onboarding and technical orientation for new hires.
    • Mentor staff at all levels, fostering a collaborative learning culture.
    • Support structured career development for BIM specialists, aligning with the role progression framework.
  • Resource Planning People Management
    • Organise and lead weekly BIM coordination meetings.
    • Work with team leaders to assess current and future resource requirements.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding, and management of the BIM team, including performance reviews.
    • Allocate BIM resources across multiple projects to ensure balanced workloads.
  • Quality Assurance Compliance
    • Conduct model audits and quality reviews to ensure project compliance with company and client BIM requirements.
    • Track performance through audit reports and highlight efficiency improvements.
    • Apply QA procedures consistently across all projects.
    • Share lessons learned from QA reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communication Collaboration
    • Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related communication across disciplines, with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
    • Provide clear reports to all levels of the business.
    • Represent the practice in BIM-related forums, working groups, and external events where required.
  • Software, Hardware Technology Management
    • Liaise with IT to manage BIM team software and hardware needs, including upgrades, licensing, and replacements.
    • Evaluate new tools and report on their suitability for implementation.
    • Support the integration of new tools into workflows, ensuring smooth adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 7-10 years experience.
  • Professional certification in BIM Management (Autodesk, Building SMART, etc.) preferred.
  • Proven experience in BIM leadership or management roles within architecture, engineering, or construction.
  • Track record of implementing BIM strategies and standards across multiple projects or practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit and associated BIM software (Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, Dynamo, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards and industry best practices (ISO 19650, BS 1192).
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary projects and developing BEPs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation, and communication skills.
