Our client have a number of vacancies for Site Managers based in Northern Scotland. The main purpose of the role is to manage site based teams delivering the Green Recovery substation construction and maintenance works across the SSE North DNO region. The Site Manager will lead and be part of a team installing and constructing electrical power distribution and transmission systems from 400V to 132kV in a manner that delivers safe, profitable, timely, high workmanship quality and fit for purpose networks for the customer and which promotes the company in a positive light at all times.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Supervision and management of and installation of ground mounted and structure mounted power system components such as cable systems, switchgear, transformers, busbars, relay panels and associated equipment in substations operating at up to 132KV.
- Prepare and maintain the site H&S records.
- Order materials for site.
- Maintain, report and forecast site progress.
- Interact with customers representatives on and off site.
- Be part of the working party when required (which can be fulltime).
What we’re looking for:
- Substantial previous experience of working on HV substation sites.
- Experience in supervision of staff and subcontractors.
- Electrically qualified and be capable of carrying out electrical work on HV equipment.
- SMSTS qualified.
- Must hold SSE authorisations (CAT 1, CAT 2 & CAT 3).
- CDM.
