We are recruiting for a Senior Business Administrator in Cheltenham to join A&E Fire and Security. A&E Fire and Security Ltd is a specialist in the fire and security industry installing and maintaining fire and security equipment and systems to a wide variety of new and existing customers throughout the Southwest, Midlands, South Wales and M4 Corridor to London. About the Role
A&E Fire and Security are seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Business Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management Team. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen internal processes and reduce administrative workload across the business. The successful candidate will support the Managing Director, Finance Manager, and Administration and Business Manager by coordinating key administrative activities, ensuring follow-up on actions, and helping to maintain efficient day-to-day operations. The role will also provide wider team support during periods of annual leave and peak workloads. This position requires a high level of discretion, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Senior Management Team.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and organising documentation.
- Take accurate minutes and track follow-up actions to ensure completion.
- Coordinate and support internal business processes and operational activities.
- Assist with basic finance administration tasks as required.
- Support project coordination and reporting to aid senior decision-making.
- Monitor and manage shared inboxes and calendars where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the wider team during periods of annual leave.
- Support ad hoc tasks and business priorities as they arise.

The candidate must be used to working in a busy, “quick response” environment and must be able to be a reliable and assertive member of a busy operational team. It’s also expected that the candidate will have good understanding of commonly used Microsoft office applications. This is a part‑time, on‑site position working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 2.30pm. Salary: £21,262.80 to £24,304.80 per annum dependant on experience.
