We are offering a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team as Transport Supervisor (Days) at Johnsons Hotel Linen Chester. This key role is instrumental in the smooth running of a busy and challenging department. You will work with the Transport Manager to ensure that the Transport Department runs smoothly, providing supervision and support as required. You will lead by example, working collaboratively with other departments to deliver a high quality of service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day organisation of the Transport Department and provide support to the Transport Manager.
- Manage all drivers, including van drivers, scheduling of rotas, rest days, holiday planning in conjunction with the Transport Manager.
- Assist with the management of Induction and ongoing Training of drivers in conjunction with the Transport Manager and ensure all Toolbox Talks and Compliance Infringements are signed off in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all Ministry of Transport and VOSA legislation and requirements and all Company Policies and Procedures.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, conduct safety checks, and report any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Carry out Risk Assessments at Customer Premises with Annual reviews on each.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.
- Promote a culture of safety, compassion, and professionalism across all transport operations.

Requirements
- You must have a Class C LGV Licence.
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a logistics environment.
