Role Overview:
- Establishing and maintaining a robust credit technology environment that aligns with the organisation's strategic goals and risk appetite.
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing credit decision systems and related processes to ensure efficient, compliant, and data-driven lending operations.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across credit risk, IT, and business units to deliver technology solutions that support credit policy, regulatory requirements, and business growth.
The Role:
- Design, develop, and maintain credit decision systems to support efficient and accurate lending processes.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with credit risk policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with credit risk, IT, and business teams to enhance system functionality and user experience.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimise credit workflows.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance by integrating robust controls and audit trails within credit systems.
- Support the rollout of new credit products and policy changes by adapting system logic and configuration.
- Provide technical expertise and training to end-users and stakeholders on credit system capabilities and best practices.

- Continuously track system effectiveness, troubleshoot issues, and proactively implement optimisations to support high-quality credit workflows and user experience.
- Integrate strong controls and audit trails within credit systems to maintain data quality and meet all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Adapt system logic and configuration to support the introduction of new credit products and policy changes, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
- Prepare clear documentation for system changes, processes, and best practices, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing across the organisation.

The Candidate:
- Proven experience of decisioning platforms such as Experian PowerCurve.
- Experience managing and implementing system changes, including requirements gathering, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, prepare clear documentation, and deliver training or workshops on system functionality and best practices.
- Advanced skills in SQL, SAS, Python.
