Were seeking skilled Mechanical Engineers to join a specialist engineering team providing high-quality maintenance, refurbishment, and repair services across a range of mechanical systems and ground support equipment.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based position ideal for individuals with a background in mechanical fault finding, repair, inspection, and refurbishment whether from automotive, defence, aerospace, marine, or heavy engineering environments.
Youll be working as part of a dedicated technical team supporting the operational readiness of essential mechanical equipment used in defence and support environments.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in mechanical repair, inspection, and maintenance.
- Proficient in fault finding and problem solving across a range of mechanical systems.
- Computer literate with basic IT and record-keeping skills.
- Holds or is eligible for Engineering Technician (EngTech) registration under UK-SPEC.
- Qualified to Level 4 (Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship) or Level 3 with a recognised national apprenticeship and relevant experience.
Desirable Backgrounds
- Automotive or HGV mechanics.
- RAF Trade Group 5 or equivalent military engineering trade.
- Experience with marine engines, diesel/petrol power units, or hydraulic systems.
- Previous work with engineering support organisations (e.g., Babcock or similar).
