The Advocate Group is supporting a leading food business in their search for a Senior Buyer to join their Purchasing team!
The Role:
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to maximise value across purchasing spend.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high standards of quality, service and value.
- Lead negotiations and benchmark supplier performance, pricing and best practice.
- Research market trends and share insights to support commercial decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to improve processes and deliver business objectives.
- Take ownership of projects, driving them forward and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Previous purchasing or buying experience.
- Strong negotiation skills with a commercially and financially aware mindset.
- Highly numerate, analytical and confident working with data.
- A strong communicator who can build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
- Someone who enjoys challenging the status quo, bringing new ideas and identifying better ways of working.
