We're looking for a proactive Transport Planner to take ownership of planning and coordinating the fleet, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable deliveries across the network for this fantastic well-known brand.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily deliveries using route optimization tools
- Liaise with drivers and customer service teams to ensure delivery performance
- De-brief drivers and review delivery reports regularly
- Prepare and maintain key operational reports β COD, failed deliveries, temperature, KPI's, and other spreadsheets
- Maximize route efficiency and minimize failed deliveries through effective planning
- Manage delivery and collection bookings for internal and third-party fleets
- Coordinate with 3rd party hauliers where required
- Ensure credit stop lists are cleared and daily reporting completed
- Escalate and resolve any service or fleet issues promptly
About You
- Experienced in transport planning, ideally with PTV Route Optimizer
- Confident using SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of multi-temperature delivery vehicles and compliance requirements
- Excellent geographical knowledge and ability to plan routes cost-effectively
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative team player with clear communication and attention to detail
