The Opportunity

As Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful recommendations that support growth, profitability and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for analysing retail and commercial performance, identifying trends and opportunities, supporting forecasting activities, and helping teams make informed, data-driven decisions. Working directly with senior commercial leaders, you'll become a trusted partner across the business, providing insight that shapes strategy and drives results.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on key commercial and retail performance metrics, providing clear insight and recommendations.
  • Analyse sales performance across customers, categories, promotions and product launches to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and target-setting processes alongside Commercial and Finance teams.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Evaluate promotional performance, ROI and investment effectiveness across retail channels.
  • Monitor competitor activity and wider market trends, translating findings into commercial recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing and Field teams to support planning and decision-making.
  • Produce ad-hoc analysis and insights for senior leadership meetings, business reviews and strategic projects.
  • Help improve reporting processes, systems and ways of working to create greater efficiency and commercial visibility.

You'll likely bring:

  • Previous experience within a Business Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Sales Analyst or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups and data manipulation.
  • Experience using Power BI to build reports, dashboards and visualisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • The confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience within FMCG, retail, consumer goods or a fast-paced commercial environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems is beneficial.
