The Advocate Group are delighted to be partnering with a world leading FMCG business to lead the search for a Global Sales Operations Manager for the EMEA region. The business has a portfolio of amazing brands that are sold directly via owned distribution companies as well as 3rd party distributors.
Accountabilities:
- Works with markets in the region to ensure the embedding of the sales operations model as a core driver for performance and growth for the business.
- Deploys and embeds tools and process to optimise sales force efficiency and effectiveness and to increase the scale of our execution footprint in the region.
- Acts as Regional SME for Sales Operations and ensures the MMA (Market Maturity Assessment) is completed and that a robust action plan is developed for improving the commercial excellence in line with the agreed five year plan.
- Takes a continuous improvement lens to all sales processes, reports, dashboards, KPIs, etc. Suggest improvements and works with leadership teams to implement.
- Collaborate with the market sales operation teams to understand their operational needs and help achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to help with alignment of the sales strategies with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
Background:
- 5 + years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Strategy, Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Route to Consumer or related roles.
- Relevant experience in the industry or in other global FMCG companies.
- Bachelor’s degree, or five or more years of work experience.
- Excellent project management skills to lead initiatives and own focus area to drive scalable solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Must have data analytic skills and know what questions to ask, what the data says, and what actions to take based upon the results.
- Must be able to support troubleshooting of operational issues as they surface backed up by knowledge and experience in Sales Ops and able to propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to effectively manage push backs.
- Expertise to be able to provide training and support to sales personnel on operations processes.
