The Role: We are looking for a candidate who can make their mark by translating science into category-leading Health & Wellness products. Here’s how:
- Lead the formulation and development of functional products (e.g., gut health, hydration, energy, sleep).
- Translate marketing insights into scientifically substantiated formulation guidelines and claims.
- Research and validate functional ingredients, ensuring technical feasibility, palatability, and stability.
- Manage internal and external NPD projects, driving innovation pipelines and speed to market.
- Ensure full regulatory and safety compliance across health claims, novel foods, and ingredient usage.
About You:
- Degree-qualified in Nutrition, Food Science, Biochemistry, Biomedical, or related disciplines (Nutrition focus highly desirable).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in R&D/NPD, ideally with Health & Wellness, Functional Foods, or Sports Nutrition.
- Proven track record of translating scientific research into commercially successful products.
- Deep knowledge of UK/EU health claims regulations, labelling, and novel foods.
- Strong scientific literacy, formulation expertise, and the ability to communicate complex science to non-technical teams.
- Experience managing external partners and co-manufacturers is a distinct advantage.
