Job Description
A leading global FMCG organisation is looking for a Procurement Manager to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role covers a broad spectrum of indirect categories and offers the opportunity to shape procurement strategy while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the UK and internationally.
The Role:
You will drive indirect procurement activities across multiple spend areas, from Marketing and IT to HR, Facilities, Finance and Professional Services. With responsibility for significant spend and supplier relationships, you will lead contract negotiations, manage compliance, and ensure the delivery of value through strategic sourcing. This role also involves overseeing a small team and fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement for a wide range of indirect categories.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies in line with business and global objectives.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring best value and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Manage and optimise circa £50m of indirect spend.
- Lead, coach and develop a small procurement team.
About You:
- 8–10 years’ procurement experience, with a strong background in indirect categories.
- Commercially savvy, with proven negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capabilities.
- Experience in category management, ideally within FMCG.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Collaborative leader with the ability to mentor and develop others.
