Process Development Manager (Beverages)- 12-Month FTC

Location: United Kingdom - Remote

Travel: up to 30% travel required

The Advocate Group is proud to be representing a highly exciting and innovative beverage brand in the search for a Senior R&D professional to join their dynamic Research & Development team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the most well-loved and emerging names in the beverage industry.

In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of innovation and productivity projects from concept through to commercialization. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, influence strategy, and lead technical workstreams across lab, pilot, and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the scale-up and commercialization of new products and processes, including CAPEX evaluations and Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) qualifications.
  • Apply scientific and engineering principles to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and provide technical recommendations.
  • Ensure food safety and quality standards through the design of thermal processes that meet commercial sterility requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to bring innovation to life.
  • Plan and execute pilot trials and production-scale testing to support validation and small-scale consumer testing.
  • Create detailed process documentation in partnership with internal and external manufacturing teams.
  • Provide technical support at co-manufacturers during development and scale-up.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to influence long-term innovation strategies.
  • Manage projects using tools such as StageGate, SAP PLM, MatrixOne, and MS Project.

What We\'re Looking For:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in process engineering within the consumer goods or beverage sector.
  • Deep knowledge of thermal processing, food safety, and commercial sterility.
  • Proven ability to work across lab, pilot, and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
