The Advocate Group is exclusively supporting a leading food and beverage business in the search for a commercially driven and strategically minded Marketing Controller to play a key role in shaping and delivering the UK marketing agenda. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced FMCG marketer looking to take ownership of a significant portfolio and make a tangible impact on brand, category and commercial growth.
The Role
- Help shape and deliver the UK marketing strategy across the relevant portfolio
- Lead the development and execution of brand and commercial marketing plans
- Translate consumer, shopper, market and category insight into actionable growth opportunities
- Work closely with Sales and commercial teams to ensure strong customer alignment and execution
- Support the development of innovation, activation and communications plans
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead, coach and develop marketing talent
- Use market and performance data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
About You
- Proven experience in a similar level Marketing Manager/Controller role within Food or Beverages FMCG
- Experience of working in matrix organisations (desirable)
- Strong understanding of brand, consumer and shopper marketing
- Commercially astute, with the ability to connect marketing activity to business growth
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Category and wider commercial teams
- Strong strategic thinker who can also drive effective execution
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and working within a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience of leading, coaching or developing others
