A rapidly growing, internationally backed spirits brand owner and distributor is expanding its on-trade presence across Central Manchester. As part of this growth, there is an opportunity for a commercially driven Brand Development Manager to take ownership of a key territory, focused on growing distribution, visibility and sales across independent on-trade venues.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on winning new business, building long-term relationships, and bringing premium and high-performing spirits brands to life in bars, pubs and hospitality-led accounts.
The Role:- Managing and developing a defined on-trade territory across Greater Manchester
- Driving new business wins while nurturing and growing existing independent free trade accounts
- Executing sales plans to deliver volume, value and distribution growth across the portfolio
- Activating brands through impactful POS, promotions and marketing-led campaigns
- Building commercial price plans and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements
- Acting as the main point of contact for customers, delivering consistently high service levels
- Hosting and supporting customers at industry events and brand activations
- Working closely with internal sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
- Tracking performance, activity and opportunities via CRM and reporting tools
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and sharing insights with internal stakeholders
- Proven experience in field sales or business development within spirits, drinks or FMCG
- On-trade management or operational background, with a strong understanding of commercial decision-making
- Strong knowledge of the Central Manchester on-trade scene
- Confident relationship builder with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Results-focused with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Commercially astute with the ability to prioritise and manage a dynamic territory
- Confident using CRM systems and sales tools
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the territory
