Are you a Quality professional who's spent real time in packaging: audits, specs, copack sites, supplier validation?
A global beverage business is hiring a Packaging Quality Engineer for their EMEA Quality team, based in London.
This one's confidential, but think major, globally recognised drinks brand, huge shelf presence, and a Quality function that carries real weight in the business rather than sitting on the side of it.
This isn't a narrow packaging only role.
It's a genuine Quality position where packaging is your core focus area, which means if your background is broader Quality or QA with strong packaging exposure, rather than a pure packaging engineering CV, you should still be reading this.
You'd own packaging quality across the region: auditing can, lid and preform manufacturers, validating specs at copack sites, and catching nonconformances before they ever get near the shelf.
It's hands on, it's technical, and it sits right at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering and consumer trust.
What's involved
- Packaging manufacturing & copack site audits (cans, lids, preforms)
- Technical integration from concept through to production
- Validating specs across cans, glass/PET bottles, trays, multipacks, closures, shrink wrap
- Handling consumer & customer complaints tied to packaging
- Monitoring line performance and running the claims process
- Working closely with Engineering & NPD on nonconformances
What we're looking for
- 3 to 5+ years in Packaging Engineering or Quality/QA with meaningful packaging exposure.
- A degree in Engineering, Packaging, Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Science. A Master's is a plus but not essential.
- Someone equally comfortable walking a plant floor as presenting a KPI deck to senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel around 40% across EMEA.
- You'll report into the QA Director Europe and QA Director Africa. Genuine visibility, genuine influence.
If Quality with packaging exposure for a major global beverage brand sounds like the kind of problem you'd enjoy solving, I want to hear from you.
