We are very excited to partner with an established consumer product business, operating on a national scale with huge growth plans. We are seeking a commercially minded, conscientious and driven leader to take this family business to the next level. This is a retail operations and sales role with team management, that includes strategic & executional responsibility. The Head of Sales & Operations will serve as a strategic, key hire for the business, tasked with overseeing current business operations, as well as directing on future plans. The ideal person will be comfortable wearing many hats, with experience in both Ecommerce and Retail sales. In return you will be joining a very special business, with a dedicated and loyal team and customer base. This is a truly unique opportunity, and one where there is a clear path to progress further to an MD or CEO position.

Responsibilities

  • Use data-driven insights to identify areas for growth in the market and business.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales-driven initiatives across all channels, ensuring these align with market trends.
  • Monitor website performance to ensure a seamless user experience. Work with internal teams to improve site functionality and conversion rates, driving sales and improving the overall customer journey.

Operational

  • Lead a cross-functional team, fostering a high-performance and customer-centric culture.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to maximise cost-effective purchasing opportunities, exclusive deals, training, and marketing support.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget for sales, marketing, operations, and staffing. Ensure all spending aligns with business goals and financial targets.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives, ensuring the business operates within budget constraints while still achieving growth targets.

What You'll Need

  • Experience working across multiple business functions, able to seamlessly transition between strategic thinking and operation execution.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to spot opportunities for growth and profitability across the business.
  • A strong understanding of both traditional retail and e-commerce environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and innovation.
  • Proven experience in managing and overseeing budgets, as well as handling P&L responsibilities, ensuring business profitability, and making data-driven decisions to optimize financial performance.
