The Advocate Group are partnered with a prestigious brand in the luxury Premium spirits sector on the search for a retail manager to oversee the operations of their Manchester store ensuring business objectives and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
We are looking for an individual who possesses a strong commercial understanding and a proven track record in luxury retail, ideally with existing high-level relationships within the industry. This individual will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a dynamic team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience, all while maintaining the highest standards of luxury retail.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for every customer.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive store performance, sales growth, and profitability.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and industry contacts to enhance business opportunities.
- Manage a team of retail professionals, ensuring ongoing training, development, and motivation to deliver exceptional service and sales results.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and stock management, ensuring the store reflects the brand’s luxury positioning.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of store staff, ensuring alignment with brand values and performance expectations.
- Analyse sales data and customer insights to inform decision-making and improve the store’s overall performance.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in a retail management role within the luxury sector, preferably in premium or high-end brands.
- Strong commercial acumen – ability to sell / upsell customers, and sound understanding of the commercial objectives of TWS (margins, brand partnerships).
- Credible and comfortable dealing with suppliers and brands during visits and events.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and nurture relationships with high-net-worth individuals and key industry figures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication skills and experienced at building relationships with customers / private clients.
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach with a commitment to achieving targets and maintaining high standards.
