The Advocate Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading drinks business, home to a portfolio of well-known brands enjoyed by consumers across the UK and internationally. With a strong presence across the grocery channel and a continued focus on growth, the business is looking to hire a Senior Category Manager to play a key role in driving category performance and growth. This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, using insights, data, and category expertise to influence decision-making and deliver sustainable growth across key retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead category management activity across major grocery retail customers, building strong and credible relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver category growth plans, range reviews, and recommendations that drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Translate shopper, consumer, and market insights into compelling customer-facing stories and strategic recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to grow category performance through data-led analysis and actionable insights.
- Partner closely with Sales, Insights, and cross-functional teams to deliver category objectives.
- Support customer planning processes through the provision of category expertise and recommendations.
- Act as a trusted category expert, helping to shape strategic decisions and drive long-term growth.
About You:
- Proven experience in Category Management within FMCG, ideally in drinks.
- Experience working with major grocery retailers.
- Excellent analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
