Global Asian Food Brand
This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-and-scale opportunity.
We’re exclusively partnered with a fast-growing, globally backed Asian food manufacturer that has already cracked UK wholesale and is now gearing up for its biggest leap yet: Top 4 grocery listings. With strong international backing, proven products, and serious investment behind UK growth, the business is entering a pivotal phase. They are now hiring a Sales Manager to lead that journey and put their stamp on the UK retail strategy.
Why this role stands out:
- A genuine opportunity to lead UK grocery expansion, not just support it
- High visibility with UK leadership and international HQ
- Clear mandate to build, manage, and grow a sales team
- Realistic ambition to land first mainstream grocery listings within 12 months
The role:
You’ll own UK commercial performance across grocery, while remaining close to execution. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys strategy and being in front of buyers.
You will:
- Lead and develop the UK sales function (with line management responsibility)
- Drive grocery growth strategy, with a clear focus on Top 4 accounts
- Build and deepen relationships with buyers across Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons and beyond
- Convert strong wholesale traction into mainstream retail listings
- Work closely with European teams and HQ in Asia
- Oversee core sales operations and multiple commercial projects in a fast-moving environment
You’ll likely bring:
- Sales management or supervisory experience within FMCG
- Direct grocery exposure (Top 4 strongly preferred)
- Experience within food brands (Asian food exposure is a strong advantage)
- A track record of delivering growth, not just managing accounts
- The ability to lead people, influence stakeholders, and build momentum
- Comfort operating in an international, entrepreneurial business
If you want to shape a brand’s journey into UK mainstream retail rather than inherit a finished one, this role will appeal.
