I’m working with EasiYo, the number one brand in the make-at-home yogurt category, to recruit a Business Manager to lead the UK & Europe business. This is a broad role, but a really interesting one. You’ll be the person on the ground in the UK, leading the team across sales, customer service, planning, purchasing, warehouse and supply chain. Senior leadership sits in New Zealand, so they need somebody who can take ownership, make decisions, and keep the business moving in the right direction.

The UK business is performing well, but are now looking to accelerate growth with a dedicated leader in the UK. You'll manage a team of circa 20 across sales, customer service, planning, purchasing and warehouse/assembly. You’ll be responsible for delivering the number, managing costs, improving processes and building a strong culture across the team. With a unique offering and a product that can really hit current trends this is a great opportunity, the business is open to investment to deliver growth, and keen to expand their current customer base to future proof the business and deliver the growth target.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the UK & Europe business day to day, across sales, operations, customer service and supply chain
  • Own the monthly sales and forecasting process, making sure plans are accurate and gaps are addressed
  • Manage sales performance, pricing, customer contribution and commercial investment
  • Coach the sales team on customer plans and opportunities
  • Oversee customer service, DIFOT, stock, warehouse and assembly performance
  • Manage OPEX budgets and drive better cost control across the business
  • Work closely with external partners, suppliers, agencies and key customers
  • Build a positive, accountable team culture with clear ownership across each function
  • Keep standards high across health & safety, compliance and food safety requirements
Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership experience within food, FMCG or a similar consumer goods business
  • Commercially strong, with experience owning sales, P&L, forecasting and budgets
  • Comfortable leading across multiple functions, not just sales
  • Able to make decisions as the senior person in the UK business
  • Strong communicator who can work with both local teams and overseas leadership
  • Practical, proactive and able to improve processes without overcomplicating things
  • Comfortable balancing customer needs with what’s right for the business
  • Happy to travel when required

This would suit someone who likes broad ownership and doesn’t want to sit in a narrow corporate role. You’ll be close to the full running of the business, leading a team, delivering the commercial plan and improving how the UK operation works.
