Are you passionate about turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive commercial performance? The Advocate Group have a fantastic opportunity with a leading FMCG business seeking an analytically-minded individual to join their commercial team.
This hybrid role blends category insights with commercial analysis. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making across the business by delivering clear, actionable insights derived from both internal data and external market sources. You’ll also work closely with commercial and internal teams to ensure data-driven decisions are shaping the future of product performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular category performance reviews and contribute to strategic insights for internal stakeholders and key retail partners.
- Maintain and update key data reports, tracking tools, and dashboards across category, sales, and promotional activity.
- Dive deep into retail data portals and EPOS systems to highlight performance trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Identify risks and opportunities in sales trends, stock levels, and promotional effectiveness, ensuring insights lead to proactive action.
- You have a background in category management, (or sales analysis) within an FMCG environment.
- You’re comfortable handling large data sets and are adept at extracting meaningful insights.
- Experience using market data tools such as Kantar, Nielsen, or similar is highly beneficial.
- You’re a confident communicator who can translate data into clear business recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint capability are essential.
