Key responsibilities:

  • Holding telephone, video or in-person consultations with people applying for the PIP benefit or a WCA.
  • Assessing a variety of complex conditions and impairments.
  • Using strong verbal communication skills to write high quality, fair and accurate assessment reports.
  • Working with your line manager to advance your own professional development and career as a Functional Assessor.

Essential experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience working as a Physiotherapist.
  • Must hold full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
