Finance Team | Hybrid – Fareham & Remote | Permanent | Full-Time
Lead. Improve. Deliver Results. At Ascenti, we help people live fuller lives. As the UK's leading provider of physiotherapy, mental health and government assessment services, our purpose sits at the heart of everything we do. Through our three business units (Ascenti Physio, Advo Health and Six Physio) we support thousands of people every day, and behind every successful patient journey is a high-performing team making it happen.
We are now looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Finance team and take ownership of a critical function within our business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Accounts Receivable or Credit Control leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, developing people and driving continuous improvement.
About The Role
Our customer base and insurer partnerships create a unique and varied environment where success comes from investigation, reconciliation, relationship management and problem-solving rather than high-volume outbound collections activity. You will lead a small team of Credit Controllers whilst remaining actively involved in the day-to-day operation. From resolving complex insurer account queries and payment discrepancies to improving processes and strengthening controls, you will play a key role in maximising cash collection performance and ensuring the smooth running of our Accounts Receivable function. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Customer Service and Patient Administration, becoming a trusted expert and key stakeholder in the business.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Credit Controllers.
- Managing complex insurer and patient account reconciliations.
- Investigating payment discrepancies, aged debt and outstanding balances.
- Supporting cash allocation, credit notes, account adjustments and write-offs.
- Building strong relationships with insurer partners and internal stakeholders.
- Producing performance reports and operational insights for senior finance leaders.
- Driving process improvements and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Supporting systems transformation projects and helping shape the future of the function.
What We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Significant experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Revenue Management.
- Previous experience leading or developing a team.
- Strong reconciliation and investigation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and data analysis.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience within healthcare, insurance billing or multi-site service environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
Why join Ascenti?
At Ascenti, you will join a business that is growing, evolving and investing in its people. You will have the opportunity to influence processes, contribute to transformation projects and make a genuine impact within a collaborative and supportive team environment. In return, we offer:
- Hybrid working with a mix of remote and Fareham-based working.
- A supportive and inclusive culture.
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
- The chance to be part of a business with a meaningful purpose and a strong track record of success.
If you are looking for a role where you can combine leadership, operational excellence and continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you. Apply today and help us continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our patients, partners and colleagues.
