THE ROLE
You’ll be the first point of contact for every inbound lead, ensuring professional, rapid response that sets up our closers for success. This isn’t a traditional SDR role; you’re the foundation that holds our sales operation together, freeing our Head of Sales and BDM to focus 85% of their time on closing deals. You’ll qualify 120+ leads monthly, schedule demos, handle technical questions, and maintain flawless CRM hygiene. Your success directly translates to company success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead Qualification & Response (40%)
- Respond to all inbound leads within 2 hours (95% SLA target)
- Identify decision-makers, budget, authority, needs, and timeline
- Screen for fit: firm size, IFA type, current tech stack, pain points
- Route qualified leads to appropriate closer
- Disqualify tactfully and maintain positive brand experience
- Coordinate calendars across closers
- Send confirmation emails with prep materials
- Handle reschedules and no-shows professionally
- Achieve 80%+ demo show rate through effective follow‑up
- Technical Support & Enablement (20%)
- Answer 80% of technical questions without escalation
- Explain product features, integrations (Intelliflo, MS Teams, Zoom)
- Clarify pricing, implementation timeline, and onboarding process
- Create and maintain FAQ library based on common questions
- Escalate complex technical queries to product team when needed
- Maintain 90%+ CRM data accuracy in all lead records
- Update lead status, qualification notes, and next steps daily
- Track response times, conversion metrics, and lead sources
- Generate weekly pipeline reports for sales leadership
- Follow-Up, Nurture & Cold Outreach (5%)
- Chase follow-ups on proposals, contracts, trials and outstanding questions
- Target small firms to book demos with the sales team
- Follow up with event attendees by calling interested firms
- Re‑engage cold leads with new content or product updates
REQUIREMENTS
- 1‑2 years in customer‑facing role (sales, support, or account management)
- Exceptional communication skills (phone, email, video)
- Comfortable with technology and SaaS products
- Process‑oriented with strong attention to detail
- Self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced environments
- Comfortable with ambiguity in early‑stage startup
- Experience in B2B SaaS or fintech
- Familiarity with financial services (IFAs, advisers, wealth management)
- Prior SDR/BDR experience with lead qualification
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Understanding of compliance or regulated industries
