Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year + Sales Incentive Compensation. Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, licensure, experience, and education.
Summary: The Advisor Consultant of Disability Sales will play a critical role in promoting the sale of DI insurance and help in executing Highlands Disability business strategy with a focus on growth and profitability. This role involves partnering with the Director of Disability and other internal stakeholders to establish objectives, increase DI market share, create marketing campaigns to attract new and orphaned customers and support the Highland Sales teams. The position involves advanced case design, strategic relationship building, and operational support.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Director of Disability to grow the product line through proactive communication, relationship building, and advanced case design.
- Generate and summarize Disability Insurance designs and concepts, including complex strategies and business products.
- Demonstrate expertise in Disability underwriting and policy review.
- Pull and send application packets upon request, with strong encouragement toward electronic submission.
- Provide training and support for first time electronic application users.
- Pre-fill DI applications when requested to streamline the advisor experience.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of the current pipeline of DI cases and be prepared to respond to field inquiries and follow up on outstanding requirements.
- Log all activity in Salesforce and maintain accurate records.
- Update Salesforce data to always ensure system integrity.
- Develop relationships with Highland carriers and strategic partners to leverage existing expertise and resources.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Disability Insurance within Highland Capital.
- Coordinate with VPs and Advisor Consultants to maximize customer service and relationships.
- Promote Disability campaigns and present DI solutions at sales meetings along with Director of Disability.
- Conduct outbound marketing calls to advisors not currently working with Highland or in Disability sales.
- Collaborate with Director of DI and Highland’s marketing team to create and execute year-round DI campaigns.
- Help grow NHOR by supporting pending business reviews and assisting the sales teams in achieving projected sales targets.
Basic Requirements:
- 3 + years of insurance sales expertise, preferably with DI products.
- Life & Health Insurance License.
- Proficient in using technology for sales purposes, such as Sales Force.
- Persuasive communication skills.
- Sales skills with result-oriented focus.
- Strong Business acumen.
- Ability to engage and leverage network of contacts.
- Collaborative work style and be able to collaborate with individuals at all levels of seniority.
- Proven record of success through achieving/exceeding assigned goals.
