Overview

We’re looking for individuals with all levels of skill and experience to join our team and make a positive impact on those struggling with personal and business debt. Trainees welcome.

Advice NI is a registered charity that provides a range of free, independent advice services to the public, including benefits, personal and business debt advice, and other HMRC products and services. We also support 62 member organisations across Northern Ireland in the delivery of high-quality advice services by working with them to enhance their standards and service delivery. Our mission is to provide leadership and services to our members and ensure accessible advice services across NI.

Role

As a Services Adviser, you will provide clear and user-friendly advice to clients, undergo a training programme and deliver personal and business debt advice via multiple channels, including telephony, digital and face-to-face. You will ensure compliance at all times with legislation, procedures and confidentiality requirements, and request client feedback to improve our services.

Some roles may require occasional travel across NI.

Qualifications

To be considered as a Services Adviser, you do not need to have worked in this type of role previously; all we ask is that you have the following:

  • The ability to work with figures
  • The ability to prioritise your workload
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and within a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The willingness to learn and develop
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle or alternative transport

We are also interested in more experienced individuals with the following:

  • Face-to-face and/or telephony money and debt advice experience (or equivalent) in a customer service setting
  • Evidence demonstrating the ability to understand complex information and legislation
  • Completion of WiserAdviser generalist courses, introductory courses within the Citizens Advice adviser training programme, or equivalent training.
