About Us
The Market Link is ADVFN’s digital marketing and investor engagement consultancy, supporting publicly listed companies and wealth brands with data‑led campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and results. We work across highly engaged investor communities and market‑facing channels to help clients tell their story effectively and reach the right audiences.
The Role
This is a high‑activity outbound sales role focused on generating qualified opportunities across the UK small/mid‑cap ecosystem (including AIM/Main Market issuers, brokers, advisers, and wealth brands). You’ll be supported by experienced leadership and provided with playbooks, tools, and mentoring to accelerate performance. If you’re hungry, coachable, and consistent, you can earn quickly and move up the reins fast.
What You’ll Be Doing (Accountabilities)
- Relentlessly prospect via cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn outreach to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Build and manage a target list of UK issuers and capital markets stakeholders (CEO/CFO/IR/Marketing decision‑makers).
- Consistently generate qualified meetings through outbound sequences and follow‑up campaigns.
- Break through gatekeepers and engage senior stakeholders with confidence and professionalism.
- Use modern tools and AI‑assisted workflows to accelerate research, personalisation, and outreach efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, notes, and pipeline stages in Salesforce (or assigned CRM).
- Collaborate with senior leadership on messaging, targeting, and positioning to convert opportunities into revenue.
- Attend industry events or networking opportunities occasionally (optional/when relevant).
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Proven outbound sales or lead generation experience – you’re comfortable with high activity (calls + emails + LinkedIn) and consistent targets.
- Strong written and verbal communication – clear, persuasive, and confident.
- Organised and resilient – you don’t lose momentum when prospects go quiet.
- Comfortable using sales tools such as CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), LinkedIn, and AI tools to speed up prospecting.
- Interest in capital markets, investing, and listed company ecosystems (experience is a strong advantage).
Nice to have (but not required)
- Experience or exposure to AIM/Main Market, brokers, advisers, IR/PR, financial media, or investor marketing.
- A starter network in UK capital markets.
Mentorship & Fast Progression
You’ll work closely with a senior team with deep experience across capital markets and investor engagement. You’ll receive hands‑on coaching on:
- How to speak with listed company executives and advisers
- What makes outreach convert in capital markets
- How campaigns and deals are structured in the small/mid‑cap ecosystem
Strong performers can take on more responsibility quickly, with a clear pathway into senior business development, account management, or broader commercial leadership.
What’s In It For You
- £28,000 – £38,000 base salary (depending on experience)
- Uncapped commission with meaningful upside for high performers
- Remote‑first role (UK‑based) with autonomy and flexibility
- Full sales training, playbooks, and modern tooling
- Direct exposure to the capital markets ecosystem and rapid career development
- A high‑performance, growth‑focused environment (we move fast and reward results)
