About Us

Gusto Film is a creative video agency based in Brighton and London. We create commercials, brand films, and social video content for clients – always with the ethos of “taking brands places they didn’t know they could go”.

We’re a team of seven made up of producers, editors, creatives and directors who care deeply about originality, bold thinking, and visual craft.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a sharp, proactive, and creative Marketing Executive to supercharge our brand visibility across search, social media, PR and paid ads.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to do a bit of everything, learn fast, and be part of a small growing team that values creativity and autonomy.

You’ll lead our marketing activity across LinkedIn, Instagram, PR, blogs, SEO, and paid campaigns with support, training, and collaboration where needed. You’ll need strong copywriting skills, excellent visual taste, a self-starting attitude, and the drive to take your ideas through to completion.

You’ll be working directly with the Creative Director/Founder in London 1-2 times to per week, and be expected to visit the team in Brighton several times a month as well as working from home, and at times on set capturing BTS.

SEO & Content

  • Execute SEO best practices and use tools to help optimise our site performance.
  • Identify and secure backlinks through guest posts, collaborations, and creative outreach
  • Continuously grow our blog with regular content including thought leadership articles, case studies and industry tips, supporting our SEO goals and driving our position as leaders in our field.

Social Media (LinkedIn 1st, followed by Instagram)

  • Own and manage our LinkedIn and Instagram accounts end-to-end.
  • Plan, create, and publish content
  • Build and engage our community
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics and test new growth strategies.

PR

  • Write and distribute press releases on our recent work and other Gusto news to relevant publications (Shots, LBB, etc)
  • Build and manage a media outreach list to target creative industry journalists and blogs.
  • Draft thought leadership articles highlighting our team’s expertise, process, and campaigns.

PPC Advertising

  • Set up and manage paid campaigns across Google and LinkedIn.
  • Test messaging, creative, and formats to improve results over time.

Newsletter

  • Use Mailchimp to organise and optimise audiences, create and send newsletters.

Must haves

  • Self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn new tools, tactics, and platforms quickly.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a taste for playful but the insight to know when to reign it in
  • Existing knowledge and hunger to use AI tools to maximise potential and efficiencies
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing including SEO, Social Media, Newsletters, Content writing and ideally PPC
  • Experience or good understanding of the advertising agency and production company world.
  • Ability to create simple but tasteful video and graphic content using supplied assets.
  • A deep understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn – what works, what doesn’t, and how to grow an engaged audience.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • A multitasker who can juggle different priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A storyteller who knows how to connect with an audience and bring a brand to life.

Nice to haves

  • Photography / video skills to come on set and capture BTS
  • Experience in media outreach, press release writing, and PR campaign execution.
  • Willingness to come and get involved in industry events and networking
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • An analytical mindset – you love diving into data and using insights to make smarter decisions.

What’s In It For You?

  • ÂŁ30k annual salary (part/full time depending on experience)
  • ÂŁ200 grant to make the best work-from-home setup possible
  • Mac laptop to work from
  • Funded training and development for creative growth
  • 28 days holiday plus Christmas to New Year closure
  • Company pension
  • A fun and creative work environment where your ideas are valued.
  • The opportunity to shape and elevate our brand’s digital presence.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
