Chrome Productions is a full-service global creative production company creating award-winning films for some of the world's leading brands. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class, dynamic, and fast-growing Post Production team. Chrome Productions is looking for an Editor. This is not a junior position. The ideal candidate will have solid short form editing experience, backed up with a clear creative flair. Experience crafting sound-beds which enhance the edit is highly favourable. This person will have a passion for storytelling and – above all else – will be driven by an ambition to create inspiring content. The candidate enjoys immersing themselves in the world of films, music and art – calling on exciting styles that inspire them and bring fresh ideas to each edit, continually elevating Chrome's output.

Contract Type: Permanent / full-time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Location: Kentish Town; the role is office based during probation, but flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days a week may be possible dependent on experience and subject to a discussion

Reporting To: Head of Post Production

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Post Production team to create contemporary, exciting, and engaging edits
  • Maintain the highest quality of output, adhering to project management workflows and show an understanding of technical specifications for delivery
  • Collaborate with the Post Production and Creative teams to deliver the project's creative vision
  • Communicate clearly with the Post Production team to ensure projects stay on schedule
  • Ensure branding consistency is maintained for each client
  • Demonstrate an understanding of technical specifications for cross-platform deliveries
  • Showcase an ability to bring the offline edit to life using sound design, transitions, temp graphics, etc. to embellish the edit, leading the viewer through music choice
  • Bring fresh ideas to each job
  • Work closely with the motion design team to deliver stunning visuals
  • Meet a pre-agreed social or environmental goal as discussed with manager

Key Requirements:

  • Kindness above all else
  • Demonstrated experience within the industry
  • Proven experience working across a range of content for a variety of platforms, including social-first campaigns, social channels, broadcast media, and events
  • Excellent knowledge of macOS
  • Deep understanding of Premiere Pro and basic working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and other Adobe Creative Cloud apps (all work is Mac-based)
  • A solid understanding of end-to-end Post Production workflow, formats, and codecs, and an excellent technical knowledge
  • A keen eye for aesthetically pleasing layout
  • Excellent project management and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt workflow to suit different situations
  • A broad range of passions and interests with a desire to keep up with cultural conversations relevant to Chrome's brand and entertainment projects
  • A 'people person' who thrives in a creative environment
  • A genuine love for film, TV, and all visual media that can be tools for storytelling
  • Strong team-based mentality with a keen ability to communicate with the team both in-person and remotely
