We are now seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and detail-oriented native French speaker to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in finance and accounting, while working closely with the wider production team in a fast‑paced, engaging, and independent creative environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Sales ledger
- Recognising sales invoices in Xero
- Credit control to ensure timely receipt of sales invoices
- Monitor DEXT for invoices to be allocated to multiple jobs and ensure timely producer approval and processing before closing the respective jobs
- Job wrapping, liaising with Producers to ensure accuracy of closing each job
- Prepare the closing Job wrap journals in Xero
- Update sales master log
- Prepare the Paris entity pay run twice a week
- Prepare ad‑hoc priority payments
- Assist with the UK entity pay run process
- Process all payments in XERO
- Reconcile the Qonto account daily and update shared ‘missing receipts’ file
- Assist Accounts Payable Accountant with credit card reconciliations as required for UK entity
- Maintain and reconcile the inter‑company accounts between entities
- Prepare monthly TVA reports and liaise with external French accountant
- Process journal in Xero to reflect the monthly submission
- Ensure all invoices are processed and TVA correct when closing out the jobs that occurred within the period and adjust where necessary
- Prepare the accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register, depreciation etc.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet recs for the Paris entity
- Learn how the external payroll services for freelancers employed in France work and process the journals monthly
- Creating new jobs in XERO/DEXT and marking as wrapped when the job is closed
- Adding new cards to DEXT, ordering new Qonto cards
- Ad‑hoc requests as required
Required or Desired Skills and Experience
- XERO experience (required)
- French native speaker
- Dext paperless system experience
- Movinmotion experience
- Minimum 4 years practical bookkeeping experience
- Clear written and email communication in both English and French
- Good telephone manner
- Adaptable team player as well as ability to work individually
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
