At Wollens, one of the South West's leading law firms, we are looking for an ambitious Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our highly regarded Private Family team in Torquay or Barnstaple.
Recognised by the Legal 500 and known for delivering exceptional client service, our team acts on a broad range of private family matters, including complex financial remedy cases, private children disputes, divorce, cohabitation issues and pre and post-nuptial agreements.

The Role
You will manage your own varied caseload of private family work, with a particular emphasis on financial remedy matters and children cases, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Cohabitation disputes
- Private children matters
- Pre and post-nuptial agreements
- Settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
There will also be opportunities to become involved in business development, mentoring junior colleagues and helping to shape the future growth of the department.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have at least 2-3 years' PQE in family law (although we welcome applications from more experienced candidates)
- Have experience of both financial remedy and private children work
- Provide clear, practical and empathetic advice to clients
- Enjoy building strong client relationships
- Are ambitious, proactive and team-oriented
- Want to play a meaningful role in the continued success of a leading family team
