The successful candidate will join a well‑established property team based in our Exmouth office. The team is expanding and can accommodate more than one appointment, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates at all levels of experience. This role suits someone at the start of their career keen to develop and progress under senior lawyers, as well as established practitioners wishing to focus on client work or contribute to the wider business through management, coaching, networking, or compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality, effective legal service for WBW Solicitors as a member of the Property Department
  • Promote and develop the department internally and externally
  • Promote and develop the firm
  • Maintain the high reputation of the firm

Experience of working independently on a variety of residential matters (buying and selling of properties, transfer of equity, shared ownership, remortgages) will be essential. Mentors and colleagues will provide support.

The Candidate:

Solicitors, Legal Executives, Licensed Conveyancers and Practitioners will be considered. Ideal candidates should have 2 years PQE with residential property experience, or have managed their own residential property caseload for a minimum of 2 years. Completed qualification is not essential. Newly Qualified candidates should demonstrate a good understanding of a variety of matters assisted during training. Successful candidate should be able to work in a team, working successfully with other lawyers and support staff. Opportunities for the right candidate to build and lead a team with associate or partnership prospects available. Networking and attending external events will be a regular expectation. Applications are encouraged from practitioners with strong potential who may not meet all criteria but can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
