Job Summary Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real difference in the community? We’re recruiting Refuse Loaders to join our Waste Management team. As a Refuse Loader, you will play an essential part in keeping local neighbourhoods clean, safe and well maintained. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active and being part of a reliable crew, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities As a Refuse Loader, your duties will include: * Collecting domestic and commercial waste safely and efficiently as part of a team. * Loading bins, recycling, food waste and garden waste into the refuse collection vehicle. * Supporting the driver throughout the refuse collection round. * Adhering to all health and safety rules, including correct use of PPE and high-visibility clothing. * Assisting the driver with reversing manoeuvres when required. * Providing excellent customer service and representing the waste service professionally. * Reporting any incidents, hazards or issues to your supervisor. * Ensuring bins are returned correctly and streets are left clean after collections. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking Refuse Loaders who have: * A positive, reliable and hard-working attitude. * The ability to work well within a refuse collection crew. * Good physical fitness – Refuse Loading involves walking, lifting and working in all weather conditions. * Strong attention to health and safety procedures. * Punctuality and a willingness to complete daily refuse collection routes. * Experience in waste management or outdoor manual work is beneficial but not essential.
