We are currently recruiting for an experienced Gardener to maintain parks, green spaces, and landscaped areas. This Gardener role is hands-on and requires strong horticultural knowledge and practical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all duties expected of a Gardener, including grass cutting, strimming, and hedge trimming
- Planting and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees as part of daily Gardener duties
- Pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance
- Supporting soft landscaping tasks such as seeding, cultivation, and soil preparation
- Operating equipment safely as a Gardener (mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters)
- Maintaining high standards across all green spaces
- Reporting faults, hazards, or issues to supervisors
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Gardener, Grounds Maintenance Operative, or similar
- Strong knowledge of horticulture and plant maintenance
- Experience using gardening tools and machinery
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- PA1/PA6 spraying licence (desirable)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
