We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a busy repairs and maintenance team based in Camden. This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter with multi-skilled experience who is confident carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void residential properties. Previous experience within a local authority, housing association or social housing environment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of carpentry repairs and maintenance.
- Repair and maintain timber doors, door frames, sash windows, timber windows, UPVC windows and UPVC doors.
- Carry out repairs to damaged UPVC doors and windows, including forced-entry repairs.
- Accurately measure and submit joinery orders for replacement doors, box frames, windows and bespoke joinery.
- Undertake associated multi-skilled repairs, including basic plumbing, wall and floor tiling, patch plastering and general maintenance.
- Complete all work to a high standard while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter within repairs and maintenance.
- Strong carpentry and joinery skills with experience of timber and UPVC doors and windows.
- Experience repairing sash windows and submitting accurate joinery orders.
- Multi-skilled experience, including basic plumbing, tiling and patch plastering.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK Driving Licence - Van and Fuel Card provided.
Desirable
- Experience working within Social Housing, Local Authority or Housing Association maintenance.
- Experience carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
