As a Refuse Loader, you will play an essential part in keeping local neighbourhoods clean, safe and well maintained. Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting domestic and commercial waste safely and efficiently as part of a team.
  • Loading bins, recycling, food waste and garden waste into the refuse collection vehicle.
  • Supporting the driver throughout the refuse collection round.
  • Adhering to all health and safety rules, including correct use of PPE and high-visibility clothing.
  • Assisting the driver with reversing manoeuvres when required.
  • Providing excellent customer service and representing the waste service professionally.
  • Reporting any incidents, hazards or issues to your supervisor.
  • Ensuring bins are returned correctly and streets are left clean after collections.
