ROLE OVERVIEW
Step into a dynamic role where you'll be at the heart of delivering an exceptional leisure experience! As a key member of the team at Adventure Leisure's Newcastle venue, you'll work closely with the General Manager to elevate every aspect of the venue, from thrilling activities to seamless operations ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded. With a keen focus on revenue growth, you'll unlock new opportunities through strategic upselling of retail products and an enticing food & beverage offering, making every visit an unforgettable experience for customers. Beyond the day-to-day, you'll play a vital role in shaping the long-term success of Adventure Leisure. Through unwavering determination and a commitment to excellence, you'll help position Newcastle Mulligans as the premier family-centric destination in the region.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operations - Maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and colleagues. Assist with the care and maintenance of all assets, inventory, and resources of the location.
- Course Marshall - Ensure customers are adhering to the course rules and regulations. Ensure that slow play/progress is kept to a minimum. Reinforce Health & Safety notices as required.
- Kitchen - Contribute to the preparation of all food for casual and function dining. Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations. Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available. Review all bookings for catered activities. Adhere to and maintain all Health, Safety & Hygiene rules and regulations WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Advise the duty manager of any items/ingredients to be ordered in a timely manner.
- People - Ensure personal compliance within the BGL Academy is 100% at all times. Maintain a strong network with fellow Adventure Leisure colleagues to support robust collaboration.
- Financial - Implement and monitor all financial controls and ensure personal responsibility for all cash handling. Complete month end procedures for retail in line with BGL company stock taking procedures. Adhere and monitor compliance of purchasing policies and procedures. Ensure all BGL procedures and policies are adhered to.
- Customer Experience - Ensure that all team members consistently deliver outstanding service levels to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
KEY EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Experience - 1 years experience working in a hands-on customer facing role (Essential). Experience working as part of a large team (Essential). Experience working in Food and Beverage (Essential).
- Skills - Excellent communication skills: Verbal, Written and Listening. Prioritisation skills - the ability to plan work activities and to use time efficiently. Good Presentation Skills. Good Time management and organisation skills. Problem solving and decision-making skills (pragmatic). Strong Planning skills.
- Attributes - Organised and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and attention to detail. Good ability to manage change. Must be results driven.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS
Good GCSE educational standard (desirable). The post holder will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Check to carry out the role.
