Ready to step up? You know how to bring a team together and make sure guests have a great time. Now you want the opportunity to do more. Whether you’re a supervisor ready for your first management role or a Duty Manager looking for more responsibility, this is your chance to get hands-on, develop your skills and have a say in how a venue grows. At Mr Mulligans Bristol, you’ll regularly have opportunities to deputise for the Assistant General Manager. You’ll be encouraged to make decisions, contribute ideas and take ownership, building your confidence through real management experience.

About Us
We’re part of Adventure Leisure, where our purpose is simple: to create space to play and be together. Our values - Fun, Ambition, Collaboration and Trust - shape how we work. We bring the energy, support each other and take pride in creating experiences guests want to come back for.

About the Role
You’ll be right at the heart of the action: leading shifts, supporting colleagues and keeping the fun flowing. Alongside the day-to-day, you’ll work with the management team on the venue’s strategy, helping turn ideas into action and grow the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading successful shifts: Organise the team, delegate effectively and adapt to changing priorities, keeping service and operational standards high.
  • Maintaining an exceptionally safe space: Maintain presentation, complete operational checks and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Supporting and developing colleagues: Give clear direction, practical coaching and constructive feedback, helping people build confidence and take pride in their work.
  • Creating memorable guest experiences: Be visible and approachable, respond to feedback and resolve concerns with care and confidence.
  • Deputising for the AGM: Step up when needed, take ownership of delegated responsibilities and develop your understanding of wider venue management.
  • Improving performance: Spot recurring problems, suggest practical solutions and work with the management team to turn ideas into lasting improvements.
  • Supporting sales: Help the team make the most of bookings, promotions and relevant opportunities across activities, food and drink.

There’ll be evenings and weekends, with a shorter opening schedule that makes for more manageable hours in a leisure management role.

About You
You don’t need to have held a management title already. You’ll bring energy, ambition and the resilience to work through challenges. You’re happy to roll up your sleeves, make decisions and follow things through - while helping the team enjoy what they do. Above all, you’re ready to learn, take responsibility and turn an opportunity into your next career step. You’ll bring:

  • Experience leading and motivating a customer-facing team within hospitality, leisure or a similar venue environment.
  • A hands-on approach and a passion for great guest experiences.
  • Resilience under pressure, with the ability to stay calm, reset priorities and help others stay focused.
  • The confidence to have constructive conversations and hold yourself and others accountable.
  • Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting daily operations, health and safety and team performance.
  • The ambition to learn, welcome feedback and take on greater responsibility.

Why Join Us?
This is a chance to influence a venue’s future while building your own. You’ll gain hands-on experience, opportunities to deputise and room to contribute within a growing business - all while helping people have a brilliant time.
