Job Description:

  • Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
  • Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation
  • Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with operations
  • Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested
  • Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision
  • Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner
  • Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists [Required]
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
  • Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills [Required]
  • Proficient in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment and tools [Preferred]
  • Ability to read and understand work orders [Required]
  • Ability to enter data in CMMS System [Required]
  • Complete all work as assigned [Required]

Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

  • 1+ year experience in healthcare setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Driver's License (DL) [Required]
