AdventBioservices is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) providing GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and related products, process development and ancillary services. We support the development of complex, breakthrough therapies for a globally diverse market. We are at the forefront of revolutionary medicine in which life-threatening diseases are treated using advanced therapy medicinal products.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. This is an opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of financial processes, supporting colleagues helping to drive accuracy and efficiency within the finance function. This is a varied role that involves overseeing the day-to-day finance operations, supporting payroll and month end activities, supervision of the Finance Assistant and acting as a key point of contact for finance related queries across the business.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Oversee day to day finance operations including sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliation, petty cash and staff expenses processes.
- Supervise and support the Finance Assistant, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Manage month end processes, including reconciliations, journals, reporting and management accounts preparation.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, pension administration and statutory submissions.
- Maintain effective credit control, invoicing and supplier payment processes, resolving any customer or supplier queries.
- Review and process staff expenses in line with company policy and HMRC guidelines.
- Support year end audit activities and help the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.
- Provide finance support across the business, maintain finance policies and procedures, and undertake ad hoc finance projects when required.
You will have the following experience/qualifications:
- AAT or another equivalent accounting qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience of using a mainstream finance software package, such as Quickbooks.
