A global industrial manufacturer is building out its European commercial team and hiring an Account Executive to open and grow its oil & gas business across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This is a hunter seat for someone who already knows how oil and gas buys: vendor registration, specification influence, relationships with terminal and refinery operators and EPC contractors, and the multi-year capital-sales cycle. You will own the region, build a local partner and dealer network country by country, and sell directly to end users and contractors where it makes sense. The product line can be taught. The oil and gas market cannot, which is why this role is built around someone who already lives in it.
Anticipated $100K–$120K base, based on experience. Sales incentive plan, up to 25% of base. Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K w/ match, PTO, holidays. Remote, Europe-based (UK, Germany, or Austria preferred). Travel 30–50% (client visits, partner meetings, trade shows).
Overview
- Open and grow the oil & gas business across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, with Europe as the primary market.
- Build project pipeline from early stages through close: identify opportunities, shape specifications, quote, negotiate, and win.
- Develop a local partner and dealer network country by country where no presence exists today.
- Sell to end users, terminal and refinery operators, and EPC / engineering contractors, and get the company registered and approved on their vendor lists.
- Promote a portfolio of engineered emissions-control and cover solutions used across oil & gas and water/wastewater applications.
- Win both new-build and retrofit projects.
- Build brand presence in the region through trade shows, technical presentations, and direct outreach.
- Coordinate with global engineering and manufacturing to position competitive, optimized solutions.
- Maintain pipeline, forecast, and opportunity data in CRM (Salesforce).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5–10 years selling capital equipment into the oil & gas market, with proven business development and a hunter profile.
- Working command of the oil and gas buying process: vendor registration and approvals, specification influence, and long project cycles.
- Strongly Preferred — experience selling emissions-control, tank, or related equipment into oil & gas terminals and refineries.
- Experience with long-cycle, project-based capital-equipment sales into oil and gas.
- Experience building and managing partner, dealer, or distributor networks across multiple European countries.
- Comfort with a long, multi-year sales cycle and the follow-through to keep large projects moving.
- English required. Additional European languages a plus (Arabic, Spanish, French).
- Microsoft Office and CRM (Salesforce); AutoCAD familiarity a plus.
