CNC Programmer – Engineering Focus
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with a strong engineering mindset and hands-on experience in programming, tooling, and fixture design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the engineering side of manufacturing and is not focused on quality inspection or QA tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate CNC programs for milling centers using CamWorks and/or MasterCam.
- Create detailed tool lists, setup sheets, and procure necessary tooling for production.
- Design and model custom workholding fixtures (e.g., custom jaws, vacuum fixtures) using SolidWorks.
- Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and interpret NC code to ensure compatibility with CNC machining centers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Proficient in CAM software: CamWorks and/or MasterCam 3D, including programming directly from CAD models and PDFs.
- Strong understanding of hole preparation for inserts and fasteners (e.g., helicoils, keenserts, pem inserts, dowel pins) according to MIL-SPEC and manufacturer requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T, linear, and ordinate dimensioning practices.
- Experience designing workholding fixtures in SolidWorks.
- Proficient in reading and comparing G-code/NC files for CNC machines.
- Comfortable with Windows OS and standard software tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe, file management systems).
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional technical training or certifications in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing engineering is a plus.
