Certain Advantage are recruiting for our manufacturer near St Helens for a Designer / Draughtsperson to work onsite 5 days (37 hours). This is a permanent role with a benefits package. Our client is a leader in the design and manufacturing of shielded testing rooms and chambers for use in the testing of equipment, e.g. for electro-magnetic and radio frequency interference.
The Role & Candidate Requirements
- You will work as part of the Design team supporting the Project Manager to generate drawings from initial layout through to manufacture.
- You will generate complete engineering packages including GA drawings in AutoCAD, as well as assemblies and models in SolidWorks 3D modelling software and generate structured bills of material.
- A good working knowledge of both Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit.
- Ideally qualified to HNC level, experience in structural steel, mechanical engineering, construction is highly preferable.
