Location: Chester area (predominantly site-based)
Rates: £19 - £21 per hour PAYE (DOE)
Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5-day working week, between 7am–7pm)
The Role: An established global organisation is seeking an HR Advisor to join their HR function on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This is a hands-on, transactional HR role, supporting HR Business Partners to ensure policies, processes and employee lifecycle activities are delivered consistently and in line with legislation and internal frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to HR Business Partners across the business
- Support deployment of HR campaigns and initiatives
- Act as a key contact for HR systems including Workday (MyPulse) and SAP
- Manage transactional HR activities across the employee lifecycle (hire to retire)
- Prepare and support reviews, ensuring timely and accurate manager inputs
- Support absence management, disciplinaries and recruitment meetings
- Produce and analyse HR data including absenteeism, headcount and workforce metrics
- Identify HR risks through data analysis and escalate appropriately
- Support talent and wellbeing initiatives including succession planning and development pathways
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and reporting
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in an HR role (Advisor / Officer level)
- Experience within one or more of the following areas desirable: HR operations, Payroll, HR analytics, Recruitment, Learning & development, HR systems / digital HR
- Strong IT and data skills with confidence using Excel
- Experience working with HR systems such as Workday and/or SAP
- Good understanding of HR policies, processes and employment lifecycle activities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, site-based environment
