Certain Advantage is hiring for a Goods in Inspector based in the Oxfordshire area. This role is on a contract basis and is site-based. We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.

The Role

This role is for a Goods in Inspector - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  • Receipt and evaluation of inspections of complex components and assemblies
  • Ensuring compliance with all associated quality procedures, airworthiness control plans, and quality management system requirements
  • Using aerospace knowledge and expertise to inspect finished products, thereby ensuring conformance with MAA/FAA/EASA Part 145 specifications and established quality standards, including customer requirements
  • Maintain material batch and manufacturer traceability information
  • Issue Discrepancy Reports
  • Document and record non-conformance process issues
  • Represent the Quality Management Department

The Individual

We’re looking for people who can show:

  • Knowledge of aircraft operations, materials and practices
  • MAA Part 145 or EASA Part 145. Part21 experience could also be taken into account
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and First Article Inspection
  • An associate degree, two years of university or technical school within aerospace engineering, system engineering, electromechanical or similar.
  • Logistics or Inventory management
  • Customer-facing role in either a military or civilian aviation environment
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of a QMS system
