The Role: Advantage NRG is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Linesman Erectors to join our elite operational teams. As a Linesman Erector, you will occupy a pivotal role within a dynamic and high-performing team, working closely with your assigned Chargehand to ensure peak performance.
Key Attributes and Functional Requirements:
- Teamwork and Safety: Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient repair, maintenance and installation of overhead power lines.
- Quality Workmanship: Maintain a very high standard of work, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
- Productivity and Efficiency: Be mindful of productivity metrics and predetermined timescales.
- Site Management: Maintain an exemplary level of housekeeping across all work sites.
- Plant Operation: Safely operate various items of plant appropriate to the Overhead Line industry.
- Professional Engagement: Engage with all site operatives and stakeholders to foster a respectful working relationship.
- Adherence to Instruction: Follow all instructions and technical specifications provided by Supervisors.
- Problem-Solving: Overcome standard rigging and mechanical challenges.

- Emergency Response: Carry out tower rescue procedures when necessary.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execution of Works: Responsible for the safe and correct installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead power lines.
- Documentation Compliance: Adhere to all conditions stipulated in the Permit to Work (PTW) and Limited Access Certificate documents.
- Equipment Readiness: Ensure possession and correct use of all necessary tools and equipment.
- Defect Reporting: Record and report any defects or damages found on PPE.
- Safety Participation: Participate in daily tool box talks and on-site risk assessments.
- Hazard Management: Report all potential hazards to your Supervisor.
- Incident Reporting: Report any work-related personal injury using the dedicated Advantage NRG Health & Safety App.
- Stop Work Authority: Report unsafe tasks directly to your Supervisor.
- Digital Reporting: Utilize the NRG Health & Safety App for reporting observations and hazards.
- Mentorship: Participate in the training and supervision of newer team members.
