We are seeking to hire a highly qualified individual for the full-time position of Assistant Commercial Manager.

Location: This role will be primarily based at our company headquarters in Chorley, Lancashire, PR17NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Commercial Director with day to day leadership of the team of Commercial Assistants.
- Management of the shared commercial email inbox and delegation of tasks to the team.
- Assisting the Commercial Director with team appraisals, probation reviews, interviews.
- Management of training programmes for new team members.
- Overseeing weekly and monthly client invoicing ensures that invoices are dispatched on time in line with contractual requirements.
- Holiday cover for Commercial Director (emails and phone calls diverted).
- Oversight of the new project creation process, chasing purchase orders or missing details.
- Assisting the Commercial Director with aged debtors reviews and outstanding query.
- Assisting the Management Accountant and Commercial Director, with the weekly profit report analysis for all projects.
- Documenting new commercial processes for all new clients and sites.
- Oversight of client invoicing platforms.
- Assist the Commercial Director with commercial documents for client tender submissions.
- To work with the Commercial Director and Accounts Receivable Manager, to proactively reduce query and improve the position of the aged debt.
- Control of client invoicing – liaising closely with the Operations Managers, Payroll, HR, and Accounts departments to ensure accuracy of weekly timesheets and subsequent invoicing to clients.
- Generate invoices using the company software, ensuring that invoices are dispatched to customers on time, in line with customer payment schedules, rate cards and adherence to framework agreements.
- Proactively, professionally and fairly resolve client queries with project records, roles, rates and invoicing.
- Ensure labour supply subcontracts, rates and frameworks are established and agreed.
- To communicate all new projects across the business on a weekly basis.
- Assist and support the query resolution and chasing outstanding or overdue invoices as required.
- Working with the operations team to ensure all project records are received and correct for all operatives.
- Ensure that the invoicing & applications are done in a timely and accurate manner.
- Actively chase for subsequent payments to be received on the due date and keep the Commercial Director updated on any current or potential issues.
- Support other parts of Advantage NRG and the parent company Hercules PLC when required.
Required Skills / Specifications:
- 5 years preferably, with working experience of NEC type contracts, framework agreements and bespoke contracts.
- Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying, business studies, finance.
- Willing/able to travel occasionally across different sites.
- Team player.
- Good understanding of the OHL industry is desirable but not essential.
