About the Role
The Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine is seeking experienced anaesthetists to join a high-performing clinical team. You will provide anaesthesia across a broad range of specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, endoscopy, and interventional radiology, while also contributing to perioperative care and critical care services. This role offers exposure to complex, high-acuity cases within a modern tertiary setting.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, patient counselling, and optimisation of care
- Deliver safe and effective intra-operative anaesthesia and monitoring
- Manage perioperative complications and participate in crisis response
- Provide post-operative care and acute pain management
- Participate in on-call and multidisciplinary inpatient care
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students
- Contribute to research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Specialist qualification in Anaesthesiology (FRCA, FANZCA, FCAI, American/Canadian Board or equivalent)
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-specialist experience (for overseas candidates)
- Experience in tertiary or teaching hospitals preferred
